Latest From Leo- 8-22

Well boys -

Just like in fishing we let the big one get away from us last night!  That's baseball.  Guys, we play two on Sunday.  The weather looks good and its gonna be hot and we need all "hands on deck"!  Both games we will be home team, both are wood bat, both will be 7 inning affairs.  So bring extra water, some snacks to keep up energy and lots of game day attitude.  The first game is against the Dodgers and the second game is the Thunder.  John will get the start against the Dodgers and Jose will have the hill for the Thunder.

As of today, I know that David Porta and Brian are done for the season!  Out of 15 that takes us to 13.  Jackson is done for season as well, his new General Manager's position has him dedicated to getting his store open and it coincides with the end of our season.  Good luck to Jackson and hopefully he can make a game but understand career first.  That makes 12.  Bobby will not be there Sunday he is out of town visiting family - family, career, baseball.  Bobby we'll see you next Tuesday when we play the Red Sox.  Now we are 11, assuming all others will be there on Sunday.  Keep in mind, Charlie is nursing and dealing with a heal problem and Scotty is pretty banged up but hanging in there.

Next Tuesday August 28th at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial we will play the Red Sox in a one game "bronze metal" game!  Don't ask me why, it is, what it is.  Again, as I mentioned last night.  I have David P, John and Bobby asking around about getting a "hired gun" to sign a one day contract to start against the Red Sox and turn the tables on them!  However, I'm confident that the remainder of our crippled, ailing, aging Pirate team can do this on our own and without any help.

I'd also like to have a team photo taken on Tuesday since this will be our last game of the season.  Can I ask that all be available (even injured) to be at park so we can take said photo.  I'm also thinking for the final game of season that we wear the "white uniforms" to change things up.

See you on Sunday!

Leo
