Lets
keep it going guys with another win on Sunday against these same
Wolves. We play at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 10th at Memorial Park. We
will wear our "Whites".
David Porta will take the hill.
We're
12-4! The schedule tells me we 3 games scheduled. But, I'm also told,
we will play 22 games. I'm not sure where the other 3 games will be
and who we will play. More to come on that subject as soon as I'm told.
What we need to do is focus on the game that is in front of us and the
rest will take care of itself!
Fall Ball - I'm told there is only two ways this is going to go. Either play as 50+ or 18+. No ifs, ands or buts!
So
if we want to put together a 50+ team than we need to get those
interested together and decide if we have enough and want to combine
with Senators or Wolves. If, we want to play together as a Pirates team
then we have to play in the 18+.
Please let me know if your
interested in one or the other. The cost is $65.00. The games (either
league) will be on Weds night and Sunday's. 50+ at Germantown and 18+
at Thurman.
Mark,
has been in contact with the team in Terre Haute! They are interested
in playing us. They are asking about the weekend of Sept. 13th &
14th. Maybe us and doubleheader or if we ask the Senators to come, a
couple of their teams and the two of us in a round robin? We will need
to bring an Umpire. I'll ask Charlie to consider (and we can compensate
him some funds) or see if Terry would go or worst case I'll call the
game. More about that but we need to count heads and get this set so we
can finalize. Then too we'll want to see about doing the same here and
figure dates.
