Congratulations!  To the Pirates on clinching the Louisville MSBL 45+ division!  A job well done and well deserved.  You are all a great bunch of guys, a little nutty at times, but a great group!

I have to thank both Jose' and David for taking on the managerial duties whilst I was out on the road.  Great job guys.

Congratulations to David Porta for the win last night.  You've taken some tough losses this season, you deserved better, didn't let that get you down and kept coming back and never gave up in any of the games. 

To Charlie, the game of a lifetime, the "game ball"!  Way to go Charlie!

Our next game is Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against the Wolves at Memorial. We all know that they want to extract a "win" from us.  However, lets send those boys home a packing with another "loss"!  Remember these guys knocked us out of the division last year. No chance to do that again this year!   

I'm told the game after that will be Tuesday night at 7 pm and the opponent may or may not be the Dodgers (still under discussion)?  Anyway we'll get to that one after this Sunday.

Then we will face the Orioles in a three game series playoff that will begin on Sept. 7th.  In last years series, it was set as a game played on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (if needed).  Guys let's have all hands on deck for this series so we can give the Orioles a run for the money!

Bobby has requested we try and get a team picture.  We will attempt that feat this Sunday.  Wear your "whites" this Sunday so we can take a group shot and an individual shot.  Then next time we'll try to get one with the gold tops.

Games against Terre Haute team(s) is still in the works!  Mark has conversed with their team manager and league president.  I'm told their talking smack.  They want to know if another team may be interested.  I've connected with Senators and they are.  We are working on dates in September after the championship series to make this happen.
