Guys -
Scrimmage game for Sunday, April 22nd at 4:00
p.m. at Shawnee with Colonels and Jets. This will be an opportunity for
all to come out and get some live fielding and hitting practice.
Please be there half hour before to warm up legs and arms. If you can
stay for half hour, one hour or three hours come on out and get some
swings in. Pitchers be ready to throw at least a couple of innings of
work.
Due to the loss of Brian "BJ" Denney this past
Sunday, John is going to take a leave of absence from baseball. John,
all of us are saddened by your loss and we pray for you and Vicky. As a
honor to BJ, I would like all the yellow jerseys as soon as possible so
that we can have Bill get them embroidered with BJ's name on the sleeve.
If you can bring them this weekend, I will begin to collect for Bill.
I will have to let you know the cost to get this done at a later date.
Also mark your calendar. APRIL 29TH is the
deadline that I have to have money ($195.00) and waiver to turn into
David Allison. You can bring your money on Sunday and if you didn't get
a waiver from my email I will have hard copies with me on Sunday. Also
on the 29th we will have practice at a ball field that Brian has
reserved for us in the Floyds Knobs area. I think we have the field from 2
to 4 pm and I will get you directions or have Brian send them to you.
We can try and have another scrimmage there if all are up to that as
well.
The fields for the season are set! The Sunday games
will be played at Memorial and Clarksville Little League Field #1. The
Clarksville field is behind the Value City on Eastern Parkway in
Clarksville. I'm told the field is three years old. Not sure of its
dimensions? The Tuesday and Thursday night games will be played at

Boys we are getting closer to Opening Day so get out there and get the legs and arms moving!
